“Puppy Chow” Recipe….You and Your Kids will LOVE this!

Published by craftymommy at 10:22 am under Recipes Edit This

A local restaurant in my town makes this “puppy chow” mixture to serve as a dessert.  I had it for the first time a few months ago and LOVED it!  It’s a mixture of peanut butter, chocolate, chex cereal, and powdered sugar.  It is delicious and so easy to make!

Puppy Chow Snack Mix

 You will need:

1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. butter
9 c. Rice Chex cereal
2 c. powdered sugar

Directions:

Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter together in microwave on high power for 1-1 1/2 minutes. Stir after 1 minute. Pour mixture over Rice Chex and mix until coated. Put powdered sugar in large ziploc bag and add cereal mix. Shake until coated. Place on cookie sheets to dry.

I keep meaning to make this for my daughters. The first time my mom made it for me she served it in a dog bowl! I, of course, was mortified because it was at a sleep over. Then we tried it and it was great!
