“Cool” Ice Bowl Project for kids!

Published by craftymommy at 6:04 pm under Recipes Edit This

Here’s a fun summer project for your kids.  Make an ice bowl to keep fruit, drinks, or popcicles cold while your kid’s are playing in the warm summer sunshine.

Summer Ice Bowl

What you need:

2 glass bowls (one smaller than the other)

Sliced fruit of your choice: lemons, limes, oranges, star fruit, kiwi

Tape

Small/Medium sized stone (or other heavy round object)

Foil

Directions:

1. Place a smaller bowl inside a larger one.  Cut fruit into thin slices and position them in the gap between the bowls.

2. Fill the gap with water.  Place a stone (or other round heavy object) wrapped in foil in the center of the small bowl.  Tape the small bowl to the larger bowl to hold it in place.

3. Put bowls in the freezer overnight.  When it comes out of the freezer run cold water over it to loosen the bowls.  Gently remove the bowls to reveal your custom ice bowl!
